A combination (Combi) boiler is much more economical to run than a conventional system as they are able to produce an endless supply of hot water without the need to preheat it. The flow will be reduced if there are other taps running at the same time but with just one tap running the pressure will equal that of the mains.
A way to identify a conventional system is that within your loft you have two storage cisterns, a large "cold water storage cistern" and a small "feed and expansion cistern". Both cisterns draw water from the cold water mains to refill.
I only install energy-efficient condensing boilers by leading manufacturers to ensure you get the most bang for your buck. Every new Worcester Bosch and Ideal boiler is covered by a full 7-year manufacturer’s parts and labour warranty, with many models, covered even further up to 10 years.
When installing a new boiler it is highly recommended that your heating system is power flushed: This removes any "sludge" that may have collected in your system over the years. A clean system means a healthy system which will allow your boiler and your system, to work to its full potential.
Annual boiler service
It’s important to get your boiler serviced every year to make sure it stays in good working order by a Gas Safe registered boiler engineer. This can help to prevent Carbon Monoxide from occurring keeping you safe at home.
You can find information on Carbon monoxide poisoning and what symptoms you need to look out for HERE.
Whilst servicing your boiler, I will also carry out a safety check, after which a service report is issued showing you everything the engineer has done to maintain your boiler. We then send you a written reminder near the time when your next annual service is due.
